In this sermon, Pastor Kohl continues to dive into Romans 9. In Romans 9, Paul says some difficult things. In verse 19, Paul points out the natural human response to God's sovereignty, "Why does He still find fault? For who has resisted His will?" Paul's response, is, "O man, who are you to reply against God?" To truly understand the difficult concepts presented in Romans 9, we have to understand the true place of mankind, both wonderous and yet still clay in the hands of our Creator.

In this sermon, Pastor Kohl dives into Romans 9. Paul states, "So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, 'For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.'" How big is your God? Can you trust that He is behind and in charge of all things working His good purpose?

In this sermon, Pastor Kohl continues his series on Romans. In Romans 9:10-13, Paul talks about how even before birth, God hated Esau but loved Jacob. "that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls." This is a hard passage. It is interesting that when Moses askes God to show him His glory (Exodus 33), God says that, "I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."

In this sermon, Pastor Kohl continuing his series on Romans dives into Romans 9:5 where Paul states that "Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God." The doctrine of Christ Jesus' Divinity is key to Christianity and the Gospel. Yet, it is an area that lots of people struggle with, Pastor Kohl digs into some of the scriptural support of this idea.

In this sermon, Pastor Kohl continues his series on Romans. In Romans 8:37-39, Paul says that he is persuaded that neither death nor life can separate the Christian from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus. All humanity faces the reality of incoming death. How should the Christian view death? How about the temptations and struggles of this life? Do we have confidence that Paul speaks of here?

In this sermon, Pastor Kohl continues his series on Romans. In Romans 8:37; Paul speaks of how "we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." This is in the context of talking about how we are killed all the day long, lambs to the slaughter for the sake of Christ, what looks like the opposite of conquering. How does this work? How is this possible?

In this sermon, Pastor Kohl speaks on Romans 8:28-39. In this passage, Paul speaks on the surety we have in Christ. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" and "Whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified." Who is responsible for our salvation? Who obtained it and who keeps it safe? Can a true Christian lose their salvation? Where does our security and surety lie?
