In this sermon, Pastor Kohl continues on in Acts 5 and the theme from last week of being totally submissive to God. In Acts 5:12-42, we see the apostles beaten and shamed for teaching about Jesus with a stern warning to no longer teach in His name. There was a very real likelihood that if they continued they would die. What was their response? "We ought to obey God rather than Men." They didn't cower, they rejoiced that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for the sake of Jesus and didn't cease preaching and teaching Jesus as the Christ.

In Acts 4:1-12, Peter and John are brought before the rulers of the Jews. It is here that Peter says the famous words "Nor is their salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12. Christianity is exclusive. It may annoy mankind, but the reality is God gets to decide what is right, what is wrong, and how we can be saved. Pastor Kohl in this sermon focuses on the concept of exclusivity pulling from the passage in Acts 4:1-12, and many other scriptures.
