Jesus Loves His Own; John 17:9
Monday Oct 10, 2022
Monday Oct 10, 2022
In this sermon, Pastor Kohl speaks on John 17:9. Where Jesus says, "“I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours." This is a shocking passage. It points to the idea of there being a separation between how God treats those who are His and those who are not. You want to be on God's side.

For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me." John 17:1 The Lord’s Prayer
Sunday Aug 07, 2022
Sunday Aug 07, 2022
John 17:1 begins Jesus' prayer to God, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You,.." In this sermon, Pastor Kohl points out how in this beginning to this prayer two foundational points of Jesus life are presented. One, Jesus knew God is a good Father who is able and willing to do good things for His children. Jesus had a personal relationship with God and we through Jesus can have that same relationship. Two, when Jesus says "the hour has come." Jesus shows He knew God was in complete control. God's plans never fail. God had promised that Messiah would come and God would fulfill that promise, just as He will fulfill all the rest of His promises. Who God is and His promises to us are the rock and foundation upon which God's people can stand.
